Unified mobility across platforms and OS's
Melisten approached Mikado with three distinct requirements: Designing watch OS for both Apple and Android, creating car infotainment for CarPlay and Android Auto, and revamping their existing mobile app. The design needed to align with each platform's unique guidelines without compromising the brand's identity.
Challenges
Designing intuitive interfaces for users on-the-move
Being a leader in the entertainment sector, Melisten wanted to come up with solutions that attract and retain users. The solutions needed to be functional, simple and easily recognizable. For Watch OS, the icons needed to be placed appropriately for easy navigation. For car infotainment, the interface has to be safe and suitable for one-handed navigational experiences. Creating solutions for Watch OS and car infotainment for Apple and Android platforms posed many challenges due to their stringent guidelines.
Process
The Process of turning Melisten's ambitious vision into reality
Our solutions were founded on research and we spent countless hours researching and understanding the native behaviors components of Watch OS, Car infotainment, and the mobile app. We also dived deep into the strict guidelines of Apple and Android Oss to comprehend them fully. Post-research, we focused on wireframing, prototyping, designing architecture, creating the right typography, and iconography for each platform. The process also included illustration, animation, and testing.
Solution
Tap or glance: Enjoy effortless access
In line with the guidelines of Android and Apple, we adopted a minimalist approach and designed watch OS icons and features that ensured symmetry and visibility. The icons for the watch OS's were customized to maximize standard gestures like tap, swipe and glanceability even when users were on the move.

Car infotainment interface
User-centric design focusing on mobility
Focused on clarity and accessibility, we designed CarPlay and Android Auto interfaces. We used large icons for Melisten's car infotainment to offer easy navigation on the move. Our experts deliver premium user experience adhering to the guidelines of Apple and Android. In collaboration with our animation wing, the team introduced dynamic interactions providing the user with a better experience.
Mobile App Revamp
Personalized and flawless user experience
We revamped Melisten's outdated mobile app, fixing the UX and UI related issues. The team incorporated micro interactions making the interface more responsive while boosting usability, engagement, and navigability. With an intuitive layout and a visually appealing interface, we optimized the mobile app for both Android and iOS systems
